Since there is the SARS outbreak in 2003, the Year on Year increase of 454.52% would be misleading. Therefore, we take the year 2000 as base for comparison.
For the period from 2000 to 2003, including the 2003 when turnover was seriously affected by the SARS, we have found an index intereting to note.
The turnover average per visitor is USD 0.14 million with the only exception in Spring 2003 for USD 0.19 million.
The average for 2004 Spring is USD 0.15 million, we trust that this may increase for the Fair in Autumn 2004.
(Dec. 2004) The result is as we forcasted, the total number of visitors for 2004 Autumn is 167,926 and the turnover is 27,200 million USD, giving an average of USD 0.16 million.
(Oct. 2005) The trend is exactly as expected, the total number of visitors for 2005 Autumn is 177,225 and the turnover is 29,430 millin USD, giving an average of USD 0.166 million.
It seems that the average order per visitor continues to increase.
(Apr. 2006) Total number of visitors for the Fair 99 (Apr. 2006) has about 1% less than Fair 97 (Apr. 2005), but the total sale has about 10% increase.
With total visitors of 190011, the average is 0.1619, slightly less than the Fair 98 (Oct. 2005) but higher than Fair 97 (Spr. 2005).
The coming Fair is the Number 100 and it seems that the Authority is working to promote the anniversary event. Both visitors and sales may reach a higher outcome.
